Efren teaches kids in the slums to read. He has a pushcart classroom and he and his volunteers go to the slums on Saturdays to teach kids. Now that's a hero!
I am truly inspired by this man's mission to educate the less fortunate. He's my hero.

Efren Penaflorida is amazing, i wish many people can be like that....
Is he from Cavite? I think I saw him featured already in Ch. 2.
i read about his story back in April. he's really Hero. when i was small, i used to dream of having a summer camp for kids just like in the US. i joined summer camps but more for a religious affiliate. hopefully we can have this also in Phils. :-) maybe we can start something like that every summer. let me know if you are good with it.
