Green Lantern: Rebirth

My brother Jonty lent me 4 Green Lantern books because I wanted to find out what the fuss was all about with Geoff Johns' Green Lantern stories.

There are all sorts of Lanterns now. From the ROYGBIV color spectrum. I think it's called the spectrum war? I don't know. Not a DC Fanboy.

Before I went to sleep, I read the trade of Rebirth. It ain't bad. But being a non-DC reader, there were times that I was just completely clueless. But it was a good read. Hal Jordan came back. Last I remembered he died in Zero Hour. But that was a looong time ago.

So there, he's back! Plus I had no idea how dangerous Sinestro was. Apparently, he's a major bad guy. I always thought he was this lame and frail pink-skinned guy. Is it pink? Oh well...

I also didn't know that BATMAN and Hal didn't like each other... Cool storyline...

Yeah, so I'll read the next one. I think it's called NO FEAR. Then it's THE REVENGE OF THE GREEN LANTERNS, finally, WANTED: HAL JORDAN. I have to read those to get what THE SINESTRO CORPS WAR is all about.

I can't say I'm hooked but it was still a good read.

Hi Jiggy,

I am currently following Green Lantern since Johns took over. If I may suggest, after REBIRTH you can go ahead and read SINESTRO CORPS WAR because it so much connected. Other trades somewhat gives a backrounder but not that necessary because Johns gives a recap of important events in GL history. I am a DC fanboy and i must admit that DC does not hit home runs as consistent as Marvel but with Geoff Johns is breaking that trend. Its just great that your at least giving this a read before the Blackest Night.

Thanks
